and maybe one day i can make sunshine
so yesterday i was bleh.
and i picked up that lovely book
by Louisa May Alcott.
and once again,
it works its magic,
like no other book i've ever known.

firstly, its the most worn out book in my library,
its torn (sadly) and tattered,
but its value has increased as the years have gone by...
and its one book i'll never leave behind.

if i could go back to the way i were,
or try to hold on to what was left of that beauty
that eternity brings..
maybe i can make sunshine again.
but rainy days come too often
and last too long,
and with each stormcloud,
a piece is torn
and a heart starts bleeding...

but im all for change,
and simplicity is still at its best.
and it never goes out of fashion.
for the best things in life are the things unnoticed,
and the treasures heap higher in poverty.
and i don't think i'll ever be everything that she is,
but maybe, just maybe when i need a hand,
her words and her thoughts will sparkle like raindrops,
in sunshine.
and cleanse my soul of the fatigue that builds,
and arrests its free dancing.

so today i lift up my head
once again,
proud to have found, that perfect to follow.
and maybe one day,
just maybe one day,
i'll be able to make sunshine.
