its way too quiet around here without them. mom and i are in the Days Inn now, just bumming and not doing much. a moment of silence to buffalo firefighters: Lt. Charles McCarthy and Firefighter Jonathon Croom who died this morning in the line of duty. while firefighting a fire in a deli, they were both inside the building and the first floor collapsed beneath them. McCarthy left behind three children and one grandchild. Croom a 2 year old son and a pregant fiance. =( life is so fragile. and they died, saving other people. the good in human nature is so unfathomable sometimes.. and michael jackson's death has been ruled a homicide. =O today has been a quiet day, my mom and i ate at a chinese restaurant, which was surprisingly good and very cheap..for canada that is. then we spent the rest of our day at the hotel. which brings me to my next point: this hotel is not fun. its shabby, the "highspeedinternet" sucks and the fire alarm goes off randomly. hmph. speaking of highspeedinternet.. i think i've been pampered with hk's free wifi, free internet everywhere.. here the internet is rare, free <- even rarer. and when it IS free, it stays at a constant of two bars.. its ridiculous. i miss hk internet. PETPEEVE: people making snippy comments within earshot. its happened three times here already. its detestable. shutUP already. #1: yes we're asian, but we understand english #2: hello, there are kids here. why don't YOU grow up for a change. #3: sorry your pudgy fingers can't handle pushing a few plates over. don't "ew that's gross". yea, so i threw a few dirty looks, hopefully they feel at least a bit of shame over their rude behavior. especially since all were over 25 at least. enough of ranting, seems like everyone's doing well all over the world. school'll start soon. ^^ reality check... and sometimes the one thread that goes the other way is the one that made all the difference.
