currently waiting in the terminal for my second flight to Kuching,

its been a long long day but Changi is really the place to be.

i love my country to pieces.

there were quite a few things i wanted to talk about before leaving, but never got the chance what with work, packing and goodbyes.

the book thief is still resonating on me.

at the airport the Times obviously called out to me so i went in and spent some dough on good readings,

my first foray into the Japanese palm-of-the-hand stories, it looks mighty promising and i actually wanted to get a novel but restraint told me no.

a second foray into Paulo Coelho, i chose his thoughts&reflections memoirs instead of his fiction though, it'll be such a good distraction to study the way he writes.

a first attempt at a novel/book cross. i generally stay away from these, since i detest most book-to-movie crosses and then am completely wtf-ed by the movie-to-book transition again, but my beloved's favorite is "The Lovely Bones" and not being a movie fanatic, i have no motivation or desire to watch it, so i am reading it.

day 1 of my three week holiday has slotted three new paperbacks into my hands.

i love vacations.

what else have i done so far?

- eaten kaya&butter with boiled egg set.

- fishball noodles (hells to the yes)
